Bumbarrel

(Late Winter)

Bumbarrel —

Roving through the hedge;

Traveller’s Joy.

This late winter hokku was composed by Clive Bennett, and can be found at his blog.

The photo of the Bumbarrel, aka the Long-tailed Tit (Aegithalos caudatus europaeus) can be found here.

  1. I love all the names for this bird, and enjoyed the statement that birders know the specific location of the bird simply by the common name given to it. I have never seen a long-tailed tit and now know something about that species. Again, thanks for the hokku verse, Clive. I’m using the hokku trowel pretty often these days and am glad to.
