The Hill of Summer

(Summer Solstice ’21)

Here we are,

On the hill of summer;

The longest day.

This solstice hokku was composed by Ashley-sama.

The photo was taken in Northern Ireland by Ashley.

I enjoy translating my observations into hokku, as well as reading the hokku of others. Hope you enjoy your slow-walk through our Hokku Garden!

  1. The photo looks like it could be a summer in Kentucky. Beautiful shot! I love your image and your words! From this point on it’s downhill until we reach the winter solstice, and then it’s back uphill, again. The yin and yang of the seasons make life interesting. Thanks for the excellent solstice transplant, Ash-tree-sama!
