Autumn Equinox
Autumn equinox;
Waking to the sound of rain
Tapping the gutter.
Sabishī composed this wet hokku on the day of the autumnal equinox, which occurred at 2:21 pm, Central time, Sept. 22nd, 2021.
The photo of the rain hitting the gutter can be found here.
I love that sound, but when you hear it you don’t want to wake up. Hope you have a fantastic autumn equinox! Autumn is at its halfway point, and winter is coming!! Prepare yourselves for the cold days ahead, but meanwhile try to savor the beautiful days of autumn.
